SaniClean is an acid-based surface sanitizer, much like star san. It works in the same way, lowering surface pH to a point that eliminates potential contaminants. However, it does not foam up as much as Star San. It is also used at a higher rate, 1 ounce per 3 gallons of water. Used at this rate, SaniClean will sanitize clean equipment with a contact time of 2 to 3 minutes. It is another sanitizer that is used in the brewing industry, especially in high transfer rate applications, such as recirculating through brew kettles and tanks.
