This 3 gallon glass carboy is a small glass carboy that is perfect for use in making port wine kits, which are often formulated to yield 3 gallons total. Using a 3 gallon glass carboy ensures that wine can mature, age and clear with minimal headspace, ensuring as little oxidation as possible. These carboys are also wonderful for doing split batches of beer or wine. Many brewers will brew a 5 or 6 gallon batch of beer, then split it for experimentation that includes oaking, different yeast strains, different dry hops, or varied bacteria strains. Whatever you choose to do, a 3 gallon carboy will help you achieve the results you are looking for!

Product Features:
Keep airborne contaminants out of your bucket while allowing carbon dioxide to safely escape, without worries of oxidation! This lid for the 7.9 gallon bucket has a grommet that can accommodate an airlock (sold separately) for fermentation. These lids also have a gasket which helps them to create a tight seal, allowing a more controlled fermentation environment within the bucket. A must have for your wine fermenting buckets!
This bottling bucket looks much like the 6.5 gallon fermenting bucket. It includes the same printed Ale Pail logo and graduated lines measuring gallons and liters, as well as the same bail handle for carrying. However, this bucket has a hole drilled in the bottom that fits an Italian bottling spigot, (purchased separately). This bucket is perfect for priming and bottling beer, or simply racking your wine off sediment for bottling.
Gallon glass jugs have a million uses! Many home brewers and vintners use them for fermentation vessels when making small batches of beer or wine. One gallon can make five 750mL bottles of wine or ten 12 oz bottles of beer. When used as fermenters, a #6 drilled stopper is recommended to accommodate an airlock (a #6.5 stopper will work as well).
These jugs can also be used as growlers, for sharing a gallon of your delicious brew with friends. They can also be used as blowoff reservoirs for blowoff assemblies on your bigger beer brewing projects, or for yeast propagation. It's never a bad idea to keep a few of these on hand!
Wanting to make wine? This 7.9 gallon total capacity fermenting bucket is the perfect size for primary fermentation of 6 gallon batches of wine. However, they are also used for many other applications, such as primary fermenters for beer, and cleaning and sanitizing buckets. These buckets are made of a food grade HDPE plastic that is suitable for most fermentation projects, including wine and beer. They also include a bail handle for easy transportation. Not included is the lid, which must be purchased separately. These buckets are stamped with the vino vessel logo as well as graduated lines measuring gallons and liters. In addition, a note on the bucket tells that the inside ridge of the bucket is the 6 gallon level.
This Italian bottling spigot is the right size to fit into the 6.5 gallon bottling bucket. The spigot twists to control the flow of liquid through tubing and (often) a bottling wand. It includes two rubber gaskets to create a seal between it and the bucket, and a tapered nozzle that will accommodate both 5/16" or 3/8" tubing. Use this to bottle all of your fermentation creations!
Plastics are a wonderful material that can provide a safe, lightweight alternative to glass! These 5 gallon plastic carboys are made of high quality P.E.T. plastic that is food safe and great for fermentation! They are BPA-free, virtually impermeable to oxygen, and because of the wider mouth design, are easy to clean without the use of brushes! Their surfaces are non-absorbing, non-pourous and hydrophobic, which means smells and flavors will not carry over from batch to batch if cleaned properly. They are made by The Vintage Shop, a quality name in home brew supplies. Use these for beer, wine, cider, mead...just about any fermented beverage you can think of! These take a #10 stopper or a universal Better Bottle stopper.
Keep your fermentation safe with a grommeted lid! This lid fits on the 6.5 gallon fermenting bucket, and will also fit on the 6.5 gallon bottling bucket as well. Made of the same HDPE plastic as the buckets, this lid includes a grommet that can fit a standard airlock. Perfect for fermentation!
Too much trub getting into your bottles? Want to dry hop away from the first layers of sediment that form on the bottom of your primary fermenter? A 5 gallon glass carboy might be just what you need! While the 5 gallon carboy is a bit small for primary fermentation of a full 5 gallon batch, It is ideal for secondary fermentation, and can be used not only for beer but also for 5 gallon batches of wine, cider, mead...you name it! Glass is easy to clean and won't scratch or absorb colors and smells over time, like plastic is known to do. Every brewer should have one of these in their arsenal of tools!
This is the quintessential primary fermenting bucket used by beginners and longtime homebrewers alike. Economical and easy to use, this fermenting bucket is made from a standard food-grade HDPE plastic and includes a bail handle for easy transportation. Not included is the lid, which must be purchased separately. The 6.5 gallon capacity works well for primary fermentation of 5 gallon batches but are also commonly used for holding cleaner and sanitizer on brew day or when transferring. The bucket is stamped with the Ale Pail design as well as graduated lines that measure gallons and liters.

The 6.5 gallon glass carboy is a great fermentation vessel for 5 gallon batches of beer. The extra head space in the carboy can accommodate the rising krausen that inevitably comes with vigorous fermentations. Being completely clear, every aspect of fermentation is visible. This eliminates the guesswork that goes along with trying to figure out what is going on inside plastics fermentation buckets. In addition, glass is a more inert material than plastic, which makes it a better material in which to ferment. Plastics (even food grade plastics that are used in fermentation) are prone to scratching and absorbing smells over the course of time. Scratches can harbor dirt and bacteria which can lead to off-flavors. Glass, however, does not have these problems. Try fermenting in glass today and see what the fuss is about!
6 gallon glass carboys are perfect for winemaking! Glass is more inert than plastic, making it resistant to scratching, which can cause dirt deposits that harbor harmful bacteria. Many wine kits make a volume of 6 total gallons of wine. Racking your wine into one of these carboys for secondary can improve clarity while eliminating head space, which can cause premature oxidation. In fact, they are often specifically recommended by wine kit manufacturers for use after primary fermentation is complete. Protect your wine investment with a 6 gallon glass carboy today to enjoy brilliant, delicious (and stable) wine tomorrow!
